Vintage Seiko Service Recommendations
Hi there, have recently picked up a very clean 6117-6400 and am looking for recommendations for it to be serviced, due to poor timekeeping and lack of power reserve - neither a surprise, as it had apparently been sat in a drawer for 15-20 years(!)
Aside from the movement service, I'd be looking for a light refinish of the bracelet (the case is in really good condition) The watch in question: Thanks everyone! |

For those who may hit this thread in the future, research has pointed me to Seiko USA and The Seikologist - https://www.theseikologist.com/about
I've reached out to the latter for pricing, he seems to get consistently good reviews, but doesn't provide refinishing services. |

That's a cool watch there, Andrew. I hope you're able to find someone to complete the desired full service soon. It can be a challenge sometimes, but once done it'll be worthwhile. Please share the after photos when all is done.

For sure - really lucked out on this one from a quality standpoint. Ashton responded so just trading a few emails with him before it’s shipped off for spa-time

Fantastic, things are progressing! I'll certainly be following the journey as aforementioned. The waiting game will be tough, but once you get the watch back fully serviced it'll make up for this, you'll be set for a long time!
