Waterproofness After Service

I just got my watch back after a service (only took about 9 weeks for a complete overhaul start to finish, was pleasantly surprised). There wasn't any sort of note on the service certificate and I forgot to ask before I left the AD but do RSCs restore the factory watertight integrity of the watches during a service? I'd like to not worry about wearing it out in the rain or accidentally leaving it on if I decide to go for a swim with it.

Fresh after an RSC service is precisely the time not to worry.

Yeah if you got an overhaul you are set. Fresh gaskets, everything has been tested, etc.

Earlier this year I had my 4 digit GMT completely overhauled (it was not close to waterproof, I washed dishes my first night I got it and it fogged up). Now I wear it in the shower no problem and will probably swim with it soon.

The integrity of the waterproof nature of the watch is what Rolex is particularly renowned for.
Together with the movement service the seals and gaskets are replaced and a pressure test is carried out to verify the rated depth of the watch with every service or whenever a watch is opened at the RSC.

With much older watches, it has been the case that Rolex won't service a watch if they can't guarantee the watertight integrity due to corrosion around the seal or gasket surface.

The waterproof nature of the watch is signified by the "Oyster" part of "Oyster Perpetual".
