Trade my ROO Ghost

Hi all, honest opinions appreciated.

I’m thinking of trading my 2018 ghost for 2022 Rose gold yacht master

Any thoughts ???

I’d personally say no way but then I love the Ghost and dislike the Yachtmasters, so it’s an easy no for me.

What else is in your collection and what’s making you consider this exchange?

Wow, apples and bananas, two very very different watches here...
Ghost is a fantastic time piece, and while I understand the "muted" tone may fall out of favor, I'd personally keep it. It's an outlier within the ROO collection, and I think that's what makes it special.
At the end of the day only you know how you feel when you handle and wear the watch, but the trade for me is a no go, just my 2 cents.

Agree with above comment that it depends on what else you have in collection. And also whether you ever wear the piece.
Do you have other ROOs by chance?
The Ghost is a versatile favorite of many, so just wouldn’t want you to regret the trade later.

I was originally going to buy the Ghost on release and do this exact setup. It looks incredible. Being titanium as well, it's not a brick on the wrist.

Really don't like the rose gold yacht master. matt black finish bezel and dial, black strap. you pay for a gold watch but you see almost no gold. The YM line in general is a more sleek and elegant watch case compared to the sub or the GMT. I own the rhodium dial YM40 and the platinum bezel just pops and shimmers.

depends on your collection, if I really wanted some rose gold on a strap, I'd rather get a Code than the rose gold YM. Or get something from Patek. $30k, I'm not getting a Rolex unless it's a full gold watch like a day-date.

I didn't have that ROO, but I did have the 15710 diver. I probably wear my RG-YM-40 more than I wore the diver, but I did wear that diver a bunch.
Tough call, but I'd probably go RG-YM-40

Yeah, I get what you’re saying but I’ve had it 5 years now and maybe it’s time to change, can’t get anything from AP dealer as they just make me wait too long.
Have been promised an AP RO steel but if or when that ever turns up who knows!

Ymmv, I would trade the following for either a PP 5170g or Platona and a dress watch (simple calatrava, SS code, VC). You would still have a deep sports watch collection too.

One of the few watches in the Rolex lineup that no one asked for or cares about. Awful idea. Now, for the guy with the YM............he can't waitfor you to pull the trigger!!
