1570 movement winding while screwing down crown?

I may have just never noticed this before but after pulling my 1680 out of the safe and winding it up/setting time i noticed that as i screwed down the crown i could hear/feel that it was winding. Does the stem not disengage after being pushed in? Not super familiar with the keyless works on these.
Appreciate any help.

It isn't winding. What you hear is the breguet teething on the winding pinion and sliding pinion interacting.

Aha after looking at a diagram and replicating it once or twice that makes sense. I really appreciate the answer.
