First Panerai and I hate it

I hate how I prefer this over my other watches, and how much I've already spent on straps.

I've always enjoyed how Panerai's look, but could never make the jump away from the traditional looking watches. Recently I was in Florence and visited OP, got the tour, and was hooked more than I care to admit. Initially I wanted the 233, and still do. But when I saw this 312 I fell for it. I appreciate that it keeps the 9 instead of replacing it with the small seconds. For my first I wanted a sandwich dial and the quickset hour feature something I didn't know I needed. While I like manual wind movements, the automatic is great for a set and forget.

Anyway, happy to be a part of the club and I'm already looking forward to my next purchase. The Bucherer blue 1176, and 1661 have my attention now as I love the black and blue color combination.

Congrats! 312 was actually my first Panerai many moons ago and I still have fond memories of it. I was a one-watch guy at the time, so that Pam was a constant companion on the wrist. Wear it in good health.

SAME. 312 was the first nice watch I bought.

Congrats! For years I’ve wanted to add a Rolex EXP II polar to compliment my BLNR… then Panerai found me earlier this year and the cost of the 2 Panerais I now have, along with 6 custom straps, far exceeds what would have been my EXP II purchase. Oh well. My Radiomir and Luminor now get about 95% of my wrist time.

I’m looking for the exact same model these days, good prices out there too .
Pam had always their flavor.

OP, great watch. Glad your liking Panerai. I have owned many over the last 15 years. 233 is an excellent piece.

Congrats and Agreed! My Pams get worn 99% of the time for the last few years while all the others brands sit nice and comfy tucked away in the safe.

Love the 312, I went with the 320. I wanted that floating GMT hand, not sure if it matters.
