Pam # Question
Hi RF, I know this may be a shot in the dark and I usually post on another forum, but I recently purchased a Panerai and needed some advice from the best Panerai forum online.
I was trying to verify a Panerai Luminor Submersible Chrono 1000, Pam 187, that I purchased pre-owned from a reputable boutique in my area. When I entered the serial number, it gave me a reference PAMC0187, not the usually PAM00187. Is there a reason for this? I know this is a Limited Edition out of GXXXX/1000 and I have a pretty remarkable number. But even Officine Panerai representatives couldn't answer this question if I didn't send in my Panerai for review from their repair specialist. And I don't want to send it in for just this reason. Anyone here have any clue to why there is a "C" included in place of the 0? Boutique piece? Etc? |

did you mean you enter the serial number on the panerai website to get warranty extension to 8 years? I have registered 3 panerai for warranty extension but never get the PAMC. I think panerai should be able to tell you if your watch is legit or not without taking the watch for servicing.

Per https://panerai.watchlounge.com/watc...-chrono-1000m/, the 187 had 1,000 examples plus 11 “out of range”.
Where did you “enter” the serial number? Maybe it’s an issue with the database? |

I believe the PAMC code refers to it being a preproduction sample or otherwise not intended to be sold through normal retailers. I can't post the links (panerai carpediem .exblog. jp/29375776/) but there exists at least PAM0164, PAMC0184, PAMC0233, & PAMC0270 in addition to yours. Perhaps Perezscope has a more definitive answer though.
