Wanna be fluted … help!

I sold my 126300 a couple months ago only to chase after the buyer an get it back. I love this watch … Makes me smile every time that it comes out of the safe and on my wrist. It was a gift so it holds a special place in my heart.

But.. and there is always a but… I realized why I sold it and that’s because it’s missing a fluted bezel and I’d like to fix that.

I have two options:

1: Buy a Genuine used fluted bezel for $2.5K and throw it on. And yes, I know, it will always be a 126300 no matter what.

2: Trade it for the fluted version and throw around $5K on top.

Twice as much to end up with the same watch? What would YOU do.

The fluted bezel adds about 1200 usd. Where are you getting 5k?

I’m not sure either

Regardless, the heart wants what it wants so I’d do either a bezel swap or switch out the watch, whichever is least expensive

$1200 between smooth and fluted from an AD. I don't have that luxury.

Trade value on a 126300 is hardly $8.5K and a BNIB fluted is going for $13K give or take.

Add. It’s the TRF way.

One smooth-oyster, one fluted-jubilee. Then buy a 7825 SB tool and you can mix it up.

Get a fluted new from AD. 5K is serious coin, but in todays economy and watch market, it's not exorbitant.

You get a perfect, zero blemished watch with a five year warranty and a touch more purchase history if ever needed down the line.

I’m going the other way from most.

If it holds sentimental value and you love it, just get the bezel alone.

It doesn’t really matter the model designation is with a smooth bezel. It’s yours and with its sentimental value, it sounds like you wouldn’t sell anyways once the bezel is added. Just add the bezel IMO.

I'd want the true stock version of the watch. Trade or sell and the one you want.

Have RCS change the bezel and be on your way. It sounds your intention is to keep the watch, so it really doesn’t matter in the big picture. Keep the receipt and you can show it was a upgrade performed by Rolex if you every do decide to sell it.

If the watch has sentimental value, keep the watch and then add to your collection and buy what your heart desires!

Since it was a gift and you like the watch, I would forget about a fluted bezel for the moment and just wear the watch. If you ever buy yourself a second watch, buy one with a fluted bezel.

You bought it back because it has meaning to you buy you might trade it to get what you want? Keep that watch, remove smooth bezel and get fluted bezel. Then you have both bezels and saved $3800.
