Urwerk owners out there?
About to add an Urwerk UR100V Magic-T. Any Urwerk owners out there which can share their joy (and pain; hopefully none)? Pictures are welcome too as I am eagerly waiting for this new addition. AD said it will be six months wait.

Not a current owner but I hope to buy one down the line. I’m a huge fan of the brand. Congrats on the upcoming purchase. Please post pics and a mini-review when you get it.

Definitely will. Urwerk was a brand which I admired but never thought about acquiring one until I tried on an UR120 last year. It was surprisingly wearable and comfortable even it is on the large side on paper. And then this UR100 with the pearly titanium finish on a bracelet comes along which is even more wearable. I can see this as a daily piece in place of a sub/sea dweller in my collection. The sci-fi theme is up my alley and my AD just pointed out the case shape looks like the Millennium Falcon.

I was very close to buying the UR-100V UltraViolet because I love purple but I decided to pass because I didn't love the DLC coated titanium case. Had I not just put a down deposit on a Vingt-8 and needing to pay off the remaining balance for another watch in a month or two I would’ve absolutely bought the UR-100V Time And Culture II assuming it was somehow available. So most likely it will have to be a few years until I can get one. Still I love seeing all their new releases and how fun they are. I know what you mean about the sizing. When I first tried one on I was worried about how it looked cause I have small wrists, but it just brought a smile to my face so I’ve been lusting after them ever since. I also agree it could be a daily wearer. A lot of people don’t know what it is so I’d feel safe wearing it out in public. I also love the futuristic sci-if aspect to it. Again it’s just a fun watch. Again congrats on the purchase, I’m jealous. Did I mention how angry I am that I missed out on the Time and Culture II? Cause I’m gonna regret that for a long time. |

When is your Vingt-8 coming? I just inquired on the latest delivery date for new order and upon hearing the timeline, I just gave up. I just have to be contended with what I am getting. I also got a smile when I put on the Urwerk. Somehow it is so avante garde but feels familiar at the same time when it is on the wrist. I got the same feeling when I put on the MB&F HM10. The Time and Culture II is already sold out? I would have assumed that it is the most available one since it is the latest one. |

It’s funny you mention MB&F. That was the other brand I was taking a very hard look at. As I’m sure you know the wait on some of them is just as long as the Vingt-8. That’s in my top 5 of brands I would love to own but money and timing seems to be a constant problem lol. I actually don’t know about the current status of the Time and Culture II. I just assumed it was sold out because it was so damn cool and limited. I didn’t even bother inquiring about it because the money I could use to buy it is already waiting to be spent on another watch. Just bad luck on that. |

When I first got interested in a Voutilainen back in late 2020/early 2021, I was quoted a 6-12 months delivery. We finally decided to order a his/her set in 37 and 39 in mid 2022. It became 2026. I am hoping my AD would come through in the next 1-2 year and able to allocate a special piece for me. I think my journey with Voutilainen would end at three pieces as a 2030/2031 delivery is just too much for me.
MB&F is one of the two brands which I really adore for what it represents and its designs. I only have LMs as my wife would never let me get a HM since she feels it is too out there for her. The LMs are another watch which sounds large on paper but very wearable on most wrists. My first LM was the LM101 and my wife actually thinks it is smallish for me and I do not have a large wrist. |

I get it, sometimes the wait game is just too much. If I am lucky enough to have the funds and there’s availability I’ll probably wind up with an LM even though I want an HM more. It’s really gonna come down to what I have in my collection down the line. Regardless I love the brand and would be happy to own anything by them. Also it’s great to hear about the wearability. Thank you for sharing. I know this was originally about Urwerk but it’s great to hear your feelings about Kari and MB&F as well. I’m still waiting for other people’s input about their Urwerks. I know there’s quite a few owners in this forum. |
