Recommendations for Computer Speakers

I am looking to replace my current speakers which were part of a package that came with my other computer. Can you recommend speakers which have good sound but are not too large since I want to keep them on top of my desk? Thanks.

Unsure what your price range is but these are ideal.

On a budget and space below for a sub? I think these are a great value for the money:

At this link you'll also see other options. all with many reviews.

I have those JBL Duet that sounds ok, maybe add a little bass at the floor will be great.
You can get them around $40 so I will say it's a great deal.

I'm no audiophile so these work fine for me. You'll need room on the floor for the sub.

I have a Boston set up with a floor bass module with 2 micro desk speakers. Really pumps the bass when listening to reggae, mon. Like right now.

Logitech Z-2300

I have the Z-2200's, which are a 2.1 system. These are the newer models. Best speakers i have ever owned, and you can't beat them for ~$100. These puppies will shake your house if you want them to.

If you want to spend a little more get the Logitech z5500, which is a 5.1 system. Considered by many to be the best computer speakers available.

I have these from Cambridge Soundworks.... For a $100 and after 6 six years of everyday use, they still sound great!

before spending over $100 on new speakers, make sure you have decent sound card first.

I use HT Omega Halo sound card, a relatively inexpensive Teac Amp, and hand made speakers with Seas drivers. Totaly is roughly $900

When I was about to buy this pair and went to the store, the said they were sold out. Instead, they showed me these one meter tall speakers and they sounded great, but I admitted that they were too large for a computer. I was AMAZED when they opened the cover and showed me the two little Bose-speakers hidden underneath!! They are soooo small, yet extremely soundy.

I just bought the Bose Companion 3 Series II system and set it up last night. I have to say I'm very impressed. This is just what I needed.
