MB&F HM11 Architect

New release today from MB&F. A lot to take in but I personally think it’s awesome and very true to the ethos of the brand.

This is why I enjoy Mb&F so much as a brand. Whether or not you like their designs it should bring a smile to your face to see something fun like this.

Absolutely. I cannot afford this but its entertaining that they make stuff like this. They are the most creative brand by miles. They know their lane and they excel in it.

I love this but it will never happen. My wife saw it and she already rejected it. 🥹

I was curious if you were gonna get one. Can’t say I blame her, it’s a crazy design but man would it be fun as hell to own.

She just approved the UR100 and I think that is her limit for avante garde designs. I have been asking for HM10 which is a lot less forward looking than this and it was never approved. I think I just need to stick with LMs.

The price is also quite high on this piece.

I forgot you were getting the Urwerk so I can see her reluctance.

Nothing wrong with sticking with just LM’s. But who knows, maybe MB&F will eventually come out with an HM you both want.

I’d never wear it but I think it looks amazing and I’m glad they do interesting designs like this.

Completely unique and extraordinary engineering.

Completely unwearable and unreadable.

Glad I'm not the only one to like it. Bonkers thing to me is the size is really not bad.

From the video on Youtube from WatchAdvisor, I think it is a very wearable watch as the lugs and the case are discrete components with the lugs curved.

Too bad I will never be able to get one...

It's not the size that makes it unwearable from my point of view. All MB&Fs have odd case shapes or are very tall with bulbous crystals like the original Legacy Machine.

I couldn't wear that thing without fear of bashing the case, cracking a crystal, getting the thing caught up on clothing or external fixtures because of the case shapes.

Also, it's really a watch not meant to read the time with. It's there, somewhere, but not aways clear unless you contort your arm/wrist and squint a bit.

They are amazing pieces, but a bit of a d*ck measuring contest item.

To me they are anything but. That would be Rolex AP, Patek, RM. I respect everyone has a different opinion but you don’t flex an MB&F they don’t carry a premium to msrp and most people have no idea what MB&F is.

If there’s one thing I realized the majority of people do not care what watch you wear.

Yeah... I actually prefer Jacob&Co watches if i want to go crazy on design. At least they make unique movements / features as opposed to just focusing on the visuals of their watches.
