New TT Ceramic Sub?

Hi, I'm just wondering what you guys think of the new TT ceramic sub. I had a look at the black and blue dial versions and was really impressed by both of them. I know there has been a lot of controversy over the new shade of blue, but when I saw it in the metal it looked much better than I expected. IMO the blue looks a deeper shade than that on the WG sub (maybe because of the contrast between the SS and YG?)

I'm seriously considering buying one to keep my SS GMTII-C company. Either that or a Datejust II when the AD's here in Sydney eventually get them into stock.

I saw one for the first time (tried it on too) when a local AD had their Rolex roadshow pass through. I really like my 16613 better. The ceramic bezel and blue dial had a much more flat look. Flat being less depth, not less shine. I didn't like the thicker case either. Hey, if it just made me appreciate my watch more, then I guess I can't knock it too much. Just not for me.

I have compared the 16613 to the new ceramic 18k yellow gold version, which has the same blue as the TT. I think it is a nice shade of blue, but McGary911 nailed it I think, in that it doesn't have the depth of the 16613, which seems to react to changes in lighting more readily. I do very much like the maxi dial, and I like the supercase, but I'll have to wait until I see the TT in the metal before I can decide whether I would spend the extra $$ for the ceramic version. I'm impatiently waiting for the US ADs to get these.

I too consider getting the new tt blue ceramic. I have not seen it in person but only photos. I am skeptic about the new blue. If it doesn't have the dept look to it then I probably have to consider the old sub. I do like the solid link and the ceramic of the new; so it will be a hard decision. I'm waiting to see it in person before decide.

I've waited for this model to come out before buying a TT sub. I like the solid links but like the old blue better. Wish there was a way to put the new band on the "old" style

Won't fit. The new bands are now with a 21 mm lug width as opposed to the normal range which has a lug width of 20 mm.

They had to go changing this model and making my decision harder... What ever happened to the phrase, "Don't fix something that isn't broken?!"

Itīs a nice looking watch...but TT models are not for me....not yet anyway....need to gain some more authority

But I canīt help to think that the big white hour markes that comes with the maxi dial just looks a bit.....I donīt know...out of place.

Dosenīt really go well with the blue color. Maybe a YG outer ring on the markes and YG hands would have been better????

Well thatīs just me....not important!

If it looks as good in person as it does in that picture on your wrist, I seriously question whether I'll be willing to wait for prices to come down before snagging one.
