Incoming BLRO

Honestly wasn’t initially a big fan until I tried a friend’s on and loved it.

Asked my AD in March for one and they thought mid summer was realistic. When rumors started swirling I got nervous and asked them if I realistically would see one.

Got a text last week asking me to remind them which bracelet I preferred so I got excited. Then I got a call saying I could have an Oyster now but the Jubilee would be a much longer wait with the option of swapping bracelets. Said I would take the Oyster and swap bracelets although they warned me it could be months for bracelet to come in.

Went in today and they surprised me with this!

There’s another thread discussing’My AD said’ posts so won’t share that, but will say if you’re waiting for one be patient and if you’re waiting for a jubilee be very patient…sorry for the long post

Their games are so lame, they aren't fooling anyone.

Anyway, who cares, congrats! The watch looks fantastic.

Thank you!

Actually they were quite transparent which I greatly appreciated. The Jubilee came in on their allocation on Tuesday so I feel relieved I didn’t have to wait for the swap..

Ha! They used this line on me and “surprised” me with the correct watch also.

Congrats to you, one of the lucky few here to obtain one at an AD.

https://imgur.com/yRVyI8D I stopped in to my AD as he wanted to see my collection, I had a Pepsi from Tudor and I explained to him that the secondary market had the red and blue bezel marked up to crazy high prices and I just couldn't see spending that much extra for a different color bezel.. we talked a little more an he excused himself and shortly returned with this Rolex GMT Master II with the Red and Blue bezel, WOW, I was blown away. And my collection just increased by one more great watch. Thank you very much, God bless.

Thank you all! I’ve been fortunate enough to get the pieces I’ve been interested in and have never worried about the wait as long as I knew it was a realistic ask.

In this case I’ll admit the swirling rumors made me nervous so it was a bit different…

Excellent story, congratulations!
It was worrisome reading posts about BLROs not being delivered any longer, and discontinuation threat, etc. So your example is more reassuring.

Thank you! I was indeed quite worried as well. What is true is ADs are seeing very little inventory.
The big surprise for me is that they knew I was prepared to wait as long as it took. I just asked for some kind of indication that it would be available in the future…

Congrats on your Pepsi! Wow, that was actually a pretty short wait from an AD. Most folks measure in years instead of months. Wear it in good health. Cheers!

Was thinking the same. Most are still waiting years so the OP won the Pepsi lottery.
