New heavy Oyster style bracelet

Has anyone tried on the new heavy style oyster bracelet? what are your thoughts? Is the bracelet only for DateJusts or are they made for the Subs and SDs?

Thanks for the feedback

Hi Dale,

The new style ALL SOLID LINKS Oyster bracelets are only for the DJs and the new Turn-O-Graph models. The Subs and SD continue with their old, but trusted and reliable, OYSTER FLIPLOCK bracelets with HOLLOW centre links!!

Here's a picture or two of the new Oyster bracelet...

The new bracelet is quite nice....though I quite like the clunky, rugged feel of the sub and sd bracelet.

There is for the NEW TT (116713) or solid Gold GMT-II. To use a movie phrase, this watch is in "limited release" and the USA is not one of the countries.

I've tried the new Oyster and Jubilee bracelets on the 116233 and 116200, and I was surprised at the difference. They feel noticably more solid than the older versions, not only in terms of weight (the Oyster 116200 with all its links was about as heavy as my SD with no extra links), but in the lack of rattle when the links move against each other.

My Daytona has a solid link bracelet just like the new DJs, NEW GMTs, and a few others. I havent found a noticable difference other than weight when compared to my other Rolexes. I am sure over time I may find that the bracelet on my SD (2005 F serial) will start to rattle as it stretches, but for now no noticable diff.

....only due to the hollow centre links. Other than that....no worries, pal....it's very, very strong!!

Hi Megalos,
Normal, The SEL bracelet isn't marked. Look on the inside of the clasp--should see 93250.
Here's a shot of the back of one of mine--no numbers on the bracelet

hi,
Id love the new SS jubilee bracelet hidden clasp with teh rolex crown, a bit more than the the SS solid oyster one, some how the jubilee looks quite elegent & not very rugged like the oyster .

Agreed, Rusi!! Jubilee, especially new one with concealed President like clasp, more dressy than the Oyster. The new Jubilee construction has been vastly improved compared with the older one.

I'm with you, Rusi. I saw a new TT Jubilee at the AD yesterday and it is a real beauty. I wish I could replace the old TT Jubilee on my DJ with the new bracelet, but apparently the new one is too big for the older cases.

The lug width of 20 mm should be the same, Ed. Did you ask the AD about this?

No, because I didn't remember the size of the old flavor. I know he told me he wanted to do the same thing with his DJ but couldn't because it wouldn't fit the case. It may have something to do with the thickness.

Yes, I think he's right. Although Rolex have still maintained the same 36 mm case width, they have broadened the lugs end to give it the "broader" look.
