Wanting to buy Mom this Rolex 6420. Advice?

Hello!

I'm thinking of purchasing this Rolex 6420 for my Mom. It appears that everything seems good from a quick glance, but I've never seen this configuration on the Speedking, so wondering if the dial was potentially redone in the past.

Thanks all!

Based on the one photo I’m not seeing any obvious problems with the printing. Is the serial from the early 60s?

It’s always best to post a clear straight on photo if you have it.

Yep! It's 64xxxx which should date it to early 60s, maybe around 1961.

I don't have a straight on clear photo unfortunately.

Looks original to me too.

Couldn't tell you based on a pic, but that looks super classy. Nice watch.

Since it says precision on the dial I assume it is hand wound? Could that be a problem for you (or your Mom)?

Yep! It is handwound. It didn't seem like it was a problem with her, she just wanted something from this era that was a smaller size and did not have radium lume.
