Orient gmt review
Ok well as some of you may have seen I was looking for a non rolex budget GMT watch. I had many great sugestions but I decided to go with the Orient GMT and I am glad i did...
Things I like about the watch: I really like the design of this watch. I find it to be very original in style. The 24hr bezel is inside the case and controled by the second crown. I also like the face that it has elapsed time bezel as well. This watch comes with a Japanese in house movement. Second hand sweeps nicely. The watch has a great wrist presence, is very comfortabel, and just has a overall feel of high quality. I enjoy that this is not a homage to anything that i can tell and is very unique. Watch has a 100 meter water resistance, and quick set date Things I dislike: Non Hacking, non independent GMT hand meaning you must use the 24 hr inner bezel for the second time zone. Packageing was pretty blah but hey they had to save money somewhere to give this nice watch at this price. Now for my number 1 dislike no manual wind you must shake watch to wind it I had a seico like this and i really hate it. You never can gage if you are fully wound :(. Overall this is a great budget watch for 200.00 dollars I am very happy the quality dose feel of something in a much higher price range. And it dose smile at me. But not like the SUB of course. I would recomend this watch to anyone that enjoys quality and looks for saveings reminds me alot of Seiko probably because Seiko owns about 50% of orient now. Here are some pics sorry for poor quality ill try harder next time :( |

Not a bad looking watch at all.
Has a unique character of its own. Like the curved end strap - makes it very sleek. The box seemd to be lot better than their typical premium gift box (black box with alminum plate glued on top) Btw- you should be able to hack it by applying back pressure to the crown.
