Just picked up a 00721 Radiomir 3 Days Acciaio

Absolutely loving this beast. The clean dial with no script or logo or anything, just the hour markers and blue'd hands, the wired lugs, the fact that it has a minimized bezel so you REALLY get your money's worth on dial presence. Got it via Watchfinder at a pretty reasonable price. They didn't list it as "unworn", but this watch is spotless, still had the sticker on the caseback display sapphire, and the booklets that came with it are still in the shrink-wrapped plastic. 2018 on the card.

The only thing that's a bit annoying, is that the strap it came on, isn't quite as big as I'd hoped. I have 8.25" wrists and the bracelet is JUST big enough for me to hit that very first notch, and the tip of the strap barely makes it under the keeper, so i'm thinking of maybe looking around for a quality aftermarket strap option, anybody have any suggestions? Given that the watch is so massive, I'm kind of surprised that Panerai doesn't make its straps at least a good 10-12mm longer, at least on the 6 o'clock side.

Many congrats!

Panerai makes XL straps. As for aftermarket, try Greg Stevens Designs or Vintager (Micah).

Remember: more straps, more better! :-)

Nice watch! Go OEM in the XL sizes. Sometimes they pop up here in the classified sections or simply check out Ebay, loads of XL straps in OEM...but hurry, you are about to cut off circulation and faint.

Congrats OP! I’m the opposite, I need much smaller straps than OEM. I have aftermarket straps from around 12 of the best known strap makers globally and can happily recommend a few to you. My number 1 choice would be “Cordes David.” That’s his Facebook name and you should absolutely reach out to him. He’s located in England but ships internationally. He will get you something that fits your 721 and your wrist perfectly.

A better quality strap that properly fits your wrist will be a game-changer for you and your Panerai journey. You’ll never take the watch and strap off your wrist once you find your sweetspot.

Some of my favorite Cordes straps below:

Congratulations. Great watch. I use to own the 720 which is similar. I have found that believe it or not that eBay has some deals on OEM Panerai straps. I just bookmark what I am looking for and check daily and have found some nice straps at very reasonable prices.

I second Cordes. The best in the game right now. Forget the OEM XL - overpriced, less quality and probably still too small for you.

Lol i know it looks that way in the pic, but its actually very comfortable, I can easily slide a finger in-between my wrist and the strap

My wrists are 6.2 inches. The idea that 47mm Panerai are too big for people is a silly one. It’s all about the strap.

Surely this depends on the wrist size to some extent? I have a 15cm wrist and I wear a 45mm radiomir

Thanks again, OG. I reached out to David and he's making me a couple of straps right now, I should have them in a few weeks. And I'll update this thread with some pics when I get them

I have the 720 and just ordered two new straps from Micah. You can specify exactly what you want across a lot of variables and he is great to assist with the minute details too.
