Trade these for both the 126500ln black and white?
Currently have the 116500ln “panda”, the 126710 BLRO on jubilee and the 50th anniversary snoopy. Of these 3, I like the panda disproportionately more than the other two. Saw a friend’s black 126500ln and loved it even more than my panda.
Considering trading the 3 I have for the new 126600ln white and black plus $5,000 in cash back to me. Right now also seems to be an ideal time if one doesn’t believe the Pepsi will be discontinued (since prices have risen significantly before Watches and Wonders in anticipation of it being discontinued). Would love thoughts! |

Value wise seems fair. You’d get the piece you love most. Do it.

Keep the old 116500 Panda because it's nicer than the new one. Keep the Snoopy, and get rid of the Pepsi for a new black 126500. You will have the best references of the Daytona and an amazing Speedy. This if you are a watch enthusiast and collector, otherwise go for the new Daytonas if you want to cash in and get the newest and brightest and keep some cash.

There are 10 pages on the forum why many feel the 11 series Daytona is superior. IMO, Unless you need the $5k now for a emergency, you need to cool off and not do anything stupid with a trade until you really weigh out what you are doing and giving up.

There is a certain bias/phenomenon on here whenever a new tweaked model is released towards the old models. Largely because the people on here have the old models. I remember when the Batgirl came out and there were pages and pages about how the old release on Oyster was better and the bracelets couldn’t be swapped (untrue). Once people start obtaining the new one, it will flip. Watch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

One thing is for sure, I'd never trade a discontinued steel white Daytona. If you want to add a black daytona, offer the Pepsi or Snoopy + cash from you or trade both Pepsi and Snoopy for the black daytona with cash coming your way. I wouldn't trade the snoopy either, but it is rapidly approaching retail + tax on the famous facebook group we all use to benchmark prices, so adding it later if you miss it seems OK. Quote:
Generally speaking, I strongly prefer to wear discontinued references, rather than a unit that more is produced of each day. Just a personal preference. Also - I daily my 11 series and have since I bought it. It has been through some STUFF. Most notably, it was on wrist when my daughter entered this world. I remember clicking start on the chronograph when I entered the OR to see how long it would take for her to arrive. Several days later, I realized I never stopped it :) Hard to imagine a dollar figure or watch trade that would make me part with it.

Whilst some owners of the 11 will genuinely have a preference, people are resistant to change, and many who have that opinion are basing it on pictures rather than having actually handled both watches. The white 116500 is the most hyped Rolex in the last 20 years, by some huge margin and it wouldn't surprise me of those that purely bought into the hype cannot countenance that their Daytona may no longer be the best thing since slice bread. 116500 Daytonas are great watches. But at $30,000? I don't think so. Personally, the asymmetric 11 series cases are a huge turn off and I've turned down the opportunity to source one from an AD in the past as a result. I'd not be doing that for a 12 series which has a symmetrical case, almost identical to that of the WG/PT/RG and YG Oysterflex 11 series Daytonas. I'd do that trade If I was happy to lose the BLRO and the 50th Anniversary Snoopy. And I'm not sure I'd want to lose the Snoopy. So I'd trade the 116500 and the BLRO for the two 126500s and add the difference. If you then decide one of the 126500s isn't getting the love, you could easily trade that into a BLRO with cash back your way, or even back into another 116500 as they are slowly dropping price wise

If you want to, you have our permission
I personally would never do that trade. You have three watches right now that are different enough from each other to make for different wearing experiences. I get it though … if you don’t love your collection as it stands you need to do what’s right for you Welcome |

No issue with the specifics of the deal and if that is what you want to do then go for it.

Whatever makes you happy.
For me, I'd trade your white 116500 and / or the Speedmaster towards the new black dial Daytona. BLRO + new Daytona would be a fantastic duo. |

Keep the 116500. I think it looks nicer than the boxier 126500 and I don't care for the metal ring on the bezel. For me id keep the 116500 white, snoopy and add the 126500 black as it works better then the white as far as the new model goes. Pass on the 126600 white lol.

If you don’t like the BLRO, then trade that towards the 126500 black dial, and end up with the 116500 white, 126500 black, and Snoopy.

On what planet does trading $36k in watches for a $15k watch make sense? Even with $5k back, flush $15kish down the drain?

I'd keep the white 116500 and find a different way to add the 126500 black.
Also, the new black looks way better in real life then the new white, kinda opposite of the previous series so in this way you'd end up with best of both worlds (white 11x and black 12x). |

The only advice you should take about 11 vs 12 is from people who own or have owned both. All the folks talking about how much better the 11 is than the 12 likely have never seen the 12 in person, or been able to compare the two in real life. Pics and specs make the 12 appear blocky, etc., but I can assure you it wears almost exactly the same as the previous gen, minus the asymmetry of the old case which some find bothersome. If I had an 11, I would not feel the need for a 12. If I had nothing, I would go for the 12.
