AP RO Jumbo (Gold 15202ba)

Hi,

I have been searching for a 15202ba for quite some time.

Not many of them pop up on Chrono24.

In the last few weeks, I enquired about 3 of them on Chrono24… one in Dubai (which turned out to have no box or papers)… one in London (also no box or papers, as a ‘pop star’ owned it, but it has an ‘archives’ paper)… and now my latest enquiry has been in Spain… has resulted in no original papers or manual, but instead has the archives paper from AP and the box.

Is this a common thing?

Does anyone have any recommendations in terms of where to turn my search to? I’m excited to be finally pulling the trigger but disappointed with my search and findings.

Thank you in advance for your help.

It's not some vintage watch, and even based on only three examples it is pretty strange... I will never buy watch of that age without full set...

I remember reading Bruno Mars gifted his band/set members 15202BA's as part of the 24K Magic Tour. I'm pretty sure that's the pop star being referred to.

Thank you for the help and replies… my search continues…

I located a 16202ba through this forum… BUT… I tried to accommodate the seller and said I can pay some of it in cash if preferred… he asked which currency, in which I said I can use any currency… then said he was going to pass on the deal (without even mentioning a price), because he didn’t want to deal with a stranger… WTF. He was more concerned where he would need to ship the watch. I would never buy a $100k watch without it being viewed in person first.

Some people just have zero business intelligence… why not state the method of payment you want, instead of asking what currency I need to withdraw cash in.

My search continues… thank you again for your help.

I think a lots of people don’t like to deal with stranger face to face without safety environment. Many scam incidents can happen as seen in the news for both parties. If you want to see the item in person, it would be best to go for the trusted dealer shop. Wire transfer is the most preferred payment for most sellers.
