What are the more difficult to acquire R.O. Offshore watches?

Other than some of the limited edition or music edition? And how long is the wait?

Seems like things are slowing down for sure for the ADs no matter what Brand so this means shorter waits.

I have been waiting to see all the new stuff coming this year before I call my Nomad and ask for something

Excluding limited editions it’s probably the ceramic beast

As already stated, most models are easily accessible at the boutique. Except for the special editions and maybe the full black ceramic’ROO 42 mm, because that is made in small numbers, due to the complexity of working with that material.
From own experience, I was offered a rosegold 43 mm ROO as a walk-in customer last year and a few months later I was texted I could collect the SS with the taupe dial.
Market is though for Offshores, prices are dropping second hand. Maybe I will snatch one at a grey.

Yeah, Gulf blue 42mm and the ceramic case LEs (EoD, Music Edition) require some effort (or are sold out). The "LeBron" color-scheme 43mm seems to be making its way into boutiques very slowly - have yet to see one IRL.

I saw one in the boutqiue. It's lovely, I like it very much. I'm sure it looks even better under natural sunlight.

I don't think the Gulf is too bad of a wait, I inquired a few weeks ago and my SA said less than 2 months. Want to see it on a white rubber strap, really wish AP would include these quick change straps in their custom strap program.

Tried it on last month. I thought it was the least desirable for me, but my wife and my SA persuaded me to try it on. Turned out to be the nicest ROO. However I think it’s too big for me. The ROO remains a thing for me. Really like it, have the chance to get the piece I would want, but I think I can’t pull it off.

This is the gulf:

The gulf is a very nice piece, and I still prefer this combination of case shape + pushers vs. the 43mm... Tough to judge from the picture you posted (too cropped), but it looks like you can indeed pull it off!!!

For me, it’s a no go. Likewise with the ceramic beast. Too bad.

Understandable, if you feel uneasy about the fit, then just focus on something that makes you feel great every time you look at your wrist, it's the most important

Honestly I think it fits you well... May be on the larger side but it's definitely not clunky on your wrist. And I am one of the first to tell people the watch looks too big.

Woul stay away from the beast though

This is the gulf:

You can pull it off since the lugs aren't floating past the edge of your wrist. But that's just the physical part, the rest is mental and how comfortable you are wearing large watches. I bought my first 42 ROOs in 2013 and my wrist is about the same size as yours, but I was coming from wearing Panerai for 10 years and the ROO has the same wrist presence.

You are right, maybe it’s just something you have to get used to.

Exactly. And stick with the ROO on rubber, it will wrap around your wrist tighter and keep the watch centered. The bracelet and leather bands will not do the same and make the watch wear "bigger" .

Less than 2 months is amazing. Last time I checked I was told they’re not getting any and it’s a very hard piece.

Pick something you like, not something hard to get.
And if easy to get, go grey and save yourself some big ones.

Otherwise you can order « not hyped » models within 6 months.

« Hyped ones » baby blue maybe 1 year ? Full black ceramic no idea about wait time. Could be more than 1 year ?
