Opinions in 5 watch collection

Hello all, seeking opinions, if your current collection is below

1 Rolex GMT Master Pepsi
2 Rolex Daytona Panda
3 Rolex Submariner Starbucks
4 Cartier Santos medium

For the last piece in a 5 watch collection, would you keep a Tudor Black Bay 54 or Rolex explorer 36 (124270)

Thanks

it's your collection and the only opinion that matters with any collection is yourself only ,so buy the watch you want its that simple.

I think you need a datejust 36 or a 5 digit explorer II.

The Explorer 36 is just too boring for the monetary value assigned to it.

Honestly I'd probably take the black bay 54. That watch surprised me with hoenive it was on my wrist. Sold it to build towards a grail piece and it's probably the sale I regret the most.

If you can forget about the name on the dial, it's miles ahead of the explorer 36 imo.

I’d go for the explorer. The BB is too much like sub, which you have. You already have a GMT so explorer 2 is off the table. The explorer 1 would be my vote

Agree re explorer 36. When the OP already has 4 amazing watches, the Explorer 36 just seems meh.
Personally feel the Omega Aqua Terra is a much better watch than the Explorer 1 and it can be picked up for half the price used.

Sure. But you come to a Rolex forum asking Rolex V Tudor.

That is like going to CPAC and asking Trump or Biden.

Bin the explorer in that case. The Tudor for me is a better watch and is different to your sub as it does not have the date

There's no right or wrong.

But if it were me, I'd try to add another non-Rolex watch. Possibly something vintage.

How about a Speedmaster?

That's a tough one. I have both in a small collection, and really wouldn't want to give up either. If push came to shove, I guess I'd let go of the BB54 first.

Keep the Explorer, it’s a classic, especially in the 36 size

I’m not sure you need either to be honest.

I’d probably let them both go and you’d have a nice quartet 2:

I feel like those two watches don't really "fit in" with the rest of the collection... I'd get rid of both and jump up to a 40 Exp. While the 36mm is perfect for a lot of people, I couldn't stand the smaller size when compared to everything else I wear.

I would keep the explorer. Picked up a 39mm MK2 last year and was initially underwhelmed.

Gave it sometime and now absolutely love it. So classic and comfortable. It’s now my travel watch, the watch I wear when unwanted attention is possible, as well as mainly for work or activities where a watch may get a knock.

I fact I wear it more than my GMT and Sub put together.
