Rolex Baby Whale + YM40
Got "the call" for my Rhodium Dial YM40 after 18 months wait, the same evening my wife went in to labour and we had to go straight to the hospital. My son was born the following day.
Because I couldn't collect the watch within the usual 1 week grace window my AD allows, I exchanged emails with the store manager explaining the situation, I was allowed to pay by bank transfer and collect it today. Upon collecting, I was greeted by the same store manager who very kindly gave me this beautiful gift of a blue whale soft toy, a small cardboard suitcase and greeting card, all Rolex branded. Has anyone seen these Rolex baby gift sets before? Couldn't find any mentioned on an initial google or forum search. I couldn't be happier with the watch, the gift and most of all, my healthy little boy who will most likely inherit the watch along with the whale, suitcase and card some day! |

Congratulations! Never seen those before...probably a newish thing since so many guys seem to use having a kid as an excuse to get a new Rolex .
Just excellent timing in your case

Congrats! Great looking watch. My first Rolex in 1999 was a Silver Dial YM that I still have and wear often. I still think it is highly under rated

I've been on a crazy Rolex shopping spree recently, and I've gone and checked this watch multiple times on the Rolex website after seeing this thread. It's beautiful, and comes in 37" which is probably the perfect size for me.
