Which one?

I currently have an Omega 2254.50 (Peter Blake) that I have realized I just don't wear. It just doesn't excite me at all any more for some reason. It's in immaculate condition and I have the box, paperwork, etc. for it. I've never sold a watch before so I don't really know where to begin.

I've been wearing a (gasp!) black 44mm Apple watch for the past year and I think I've come realize :

a) I don't really use the Apple watch for it's features.
b) I want to go back to a mechanical watch, but one I can see.
b) I like black watches (case and face).

I want one watch I can wear for every occasion.

Every time I see an all black Panerai with a sandwich dial, such as a PAM00292 it makes my heart skip a beat.

So my question would be, is the Panerai a step down from the 2254.50?

Would the PAM00292 be a good choice for everyday or should I look for something else?

Both nice.

Oops double post so I might just add that I happen to wear my 2264.50 more than my Panerai 183g. I'm glad I have both.

Both nice.

Some like Omega and some like Panerai. I have an Omega 2264.50. That's like yours but quartz movement. If I were you and wanted to get the 292 or any other Panerai I would find a reputable dealer and do a trade. You may get less than selling the Omega to a private party, but a lot less hassle and risk involved. It may be better to just keep your watch and purchase a Panerai. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I bought this model, PAM627. Had gone through a similar scenario to you. Love it. Very legible as well Along with my 116710LN, I am currently, relatively, content in the collection
