The purple is of course a blue dial with a minor paint fault, there are no purple dial 16613s. Most common to see them in the early '90s. Mine is from 1992/3. I wouldn't paid too much of a premium for one. Is £8k for a full set and for a watch in very nice condition, then probably not too far off the mark.

Hi thats very nice. No £8k is without papers. Do i just need to look at each one. I really like that purple sheen even if it is an issue.

As Gabriel says 88-99 most centering around 90-93.

If you're lucky the original bezel turns purple as well a bit.

£8k full set is in the postcode I'd say

This one nice patina but quite a bit toppy.

Hands can be a shade lighter.

Also one to look at are the early 90s 16613 with a so-called 'stardust dial' (another dial lacquer/paint defect), which has thousands of tiny gold specks on the dial which complement the gold writing on the dial and bezel.

I'm kicking myself for selling mine (I believe it was 1994), It had a beautiful purplish dial. The money is now long gone and the price for them are now much higher.

Good luck in finding a good value one.
