Rolex 1655
Hi
I have been looking for a 1655 for a while ,and I came across those 2 watches.From What I have been studying,They are both looks original honest watchs.But I would like to have your opinions on them. 1st one have been worn ,but it has nice uniform petina which I like.Its been serviced By RSC in 07'. 2nd one is 1 ownner watch which has original box,gurantee paper,3RSC service papers.Its documented only a crown and crystal has changed,but all others are original . But this does not have a much petina. Thank you very much. |

Err buddy...as much as Orchi can tell...BOTH these 1655 looks to be authentic...
Nevertheless...you need to be careful... 1. 1st watch has the early generation bezel insert...n overall case conditions not so nice... 2. 2nd watch the case ref: "1655" is not centered...between the lugs...though the overall conditions look to be much better...than the 1st one... It's your choice...but if you ask Orchi to choose...Orchi would go for the 2nd watch... BUT if these are offered by unknown or lesser known Seller...or from eBay... that does not guarantee full return n refund policy... Don't buy... Reasons:- 1. 1655 Explorer II share the same basic common case...crown...crystal... n same movement with with GMT... thus there are plenty of...Franken 1655 put together from... loose parts. 2. 1655 is one of the MOST highly faked Vintage Rolex watches in the market... 3. Even with papers...the FAKE ones are 99% identical to the...original 1655... even 1655 experts can be fooled... |
