What model Day-Date

What model Day-Date is this that would have come from the factory with a YG President bracelet, no diamonds on the lugs, but had a cartouche bezel ?

Could it have been a 18238 with the cartouche bezel added at the time of purchase around 1990 ?

Thank you

It would have been on a crown collection model like 181xx etc.

That bezel I have only seen (in person) on single quickset models both yellow gold and Tridor crown collection models. It’s factory Rolex but added after the fact to that watch. The double quick models use the 44 diamonds not the 40 diamonds like you have from what I have seen.

Agree - See these two threads for info from David/crowncollection on diamond and cartouche bezels. Apparently the cartouche bezels (unlike other diamond bezels) were not sold by ADs as an upgrade.

So if you could not get the cartouche bezels as options from the AD’s , the must have come with the cartouche bezel and it’s not a 18238 ?
