More Stretch than Anticipated when buying old Rolex

Hi

I bought a Rolex DJ 16013 recently. Before buying, the seller sent me a picture of the bracelets stretch:

Size: 195.1 KB

When I received it, it looks like it has more stretch than anticipated (the watch was freshly polished before sent to me so that's why the watches look different from the sellers photo and mine):

Name: 2.jpg
Views: 244
Size: 79.6 KB
Name: 3.jpg

Size: 69.8 KB

Maybe I'm gauging the stretch wrong. Does anybody think there is a significant difference to mention it to the seller? Or perhaps the seller worked the angles or pushed the links together before demonstrating the stretch? Just want to get opinions as I don't want to mention it to the dealer incase i'm gauging the stretch wrong on my side..

Cheers.

I will agree that the seller may have been less than honest about the stretch in your watch.

If you actually like the watch it likely still has plenty of life left, but also, there are some very good bracelet specialists who can replace the worn pins and make your bracelet closer to new.

Yes I would complain to him/her and ask for some money back to get the slack removed.

Looks like the gloved thumb could be holding up the bracelet on the side you can't see.

Wow, I wouldn't be surprised if the seller swapped the bracelet on you here... that really sucks! Send it back if you can!

Yes the trickery was well planned.

Is this a seller here?

Over-stretched bracelet and over-polished bezel too.
Hard to believe the case isn’t just as bad.
Your money but I wouldn’t mess with it unless it was dirt cheap.

.
Different bracelet. The thumb could not create that type stiffness on one point. No comparison..

On his picture you can count about 10 links, on the same side as your picture about 8.

Not good. Unless you just got a great deal and love the watch I would send it back and start over. Good luck.

Thanks to everyone for your opinions. Really appreciate it.

It wasn't from a seller here, but from another reputable page and the seller had plenty of vouches.

Will message him and bring this up.

Yes, it sure looks like his thumb is supporting the bracelet. Great observation.

The picture the dealer sent is very disingenuous, there's definitely extra slack than he portrayed in his pic. I'd personally comment on it, earlier the better too so he can't claim you've stretched it more.

I think the seller made sure the first link (from the endlink) is supporting the next link…propping it up, if you will.

In your photo, that same first link is laying under the second link, and not propping it up. No way that wasn’t intentional.
