Hiya Andy - Nice to see you over here.

I believe that all V series have the new clasp. It changes during M series, so of them have it, but most don't.

Enjoy the new watch - for as long as you keep it

Not all V series have the new clasp. My V serial has the old style clasp, which is a bit smaller.

Andy - I see you've had various answers elsewhere re this, and there may well be some Vs out there with the old clasp (I'm sure a few weeks back I saw a thread soewhere that suggested some Ms had the new one - but hey who knows). However, given that the watch should be a brand new one from a new AD it should be well into the V series and therefore have the new clasp. If not then you shouldn't take it - the upgraded clasp was accompanied by a price rise - so either they give you a new watch, or do you a deal :-)

Not sold the DJ yet - the market is very quiet - I really don't think I've got the price wrong, just no-one wants one at the moment.

Does anyone know if the 'V' serial Daytona with the new clasp has a new bracelet serial number with that new clasp??

Thanks

Good question, Steve. Now that's something I'd like to know too. Larry might know.

It's O.K. I found it:
If you do a search for "daytona bracelet" as one expression it provides some great answers.

For one, the model number for the new Daytona bracelet and clasp is 78590.

Also, this is NOT the same identical bracelet and clasp that is found on the GMT IIC.

The bracelet on the GMT IIC is number 78200 and the clasp is different than the one on the 78590.

From what I was able to gather, the new Daytona bracelet and clasp are unique to the Daytona.

I had the opportunity to view the 78590 and 78200 side by side and they are definitely not identical.

Good stuff, Steve.....thanks.

Now I'm really curious to know the difference between the GMT-IIC and new Daytona clasps. Wish we could have side-by-side comparative pics of the two clasps.

I haven't seen Felly on our forum in a very, very long time. Hopefully, Larry or Mike can come up with some nice comparative pics.

I know what my GMT-IIC clasp and Easy Link look like......just curious to know what's so different and unique about the new Daytona one.
