Sizing an original 53 adjustable clasp presidential?
The original bracelet on an 1803 day date I own came with the '53' bracelet which is a fixed size with an adjustable clasp (can size up/down up to 6 pinholes worth). The bracelet in itself has fixed links with no screws to size up or down.
I am looking to size down and it seems the only way to do this is to have a goldsmith actually cut and solder back. Has anyone had experience with this? Does anyone know goldsmith in Toronto/GTA that is savvy with these kids of operations? According to RSV Toronto, they used to have in house goldsmiths but do not anymore and the outsourced ones they worked with are no longer in biz. |

Yes , I delt with this same issue. I had my AD's watch tech. drill through where the roll pin was and removed 1 link . I think it was $300. ish Rollieworks will do it too . Just send them a quote request with a picture. And they will get back.
Good luck |
