Submariner Question

I have a Submariner (116610LN) that I purchased in 2014. It was listed as a "random" serial at the time, but the serial starts with "Y", which I know is typically associated with 2002 production year models.

I have the original box, extra links, hologrammed hang tag, booklet with matching card, etc. The bezel is also ceramic, so it is definitely not pre-2010.

Is this just a case of my "random" serial starting with "Y" or is there something else I need to investigate or look into related to the watch? Outside of opening it up, is there any way to confirm authenticity?

Appreciate any help as I am looking to get a new appraisal and am hoping I don't get any unfortunate surprises during that process.

Randoms have 8 numbers/letters combined. An older Y-serial would have 6 numbers after the Y.

Super helpful, I didn't see that on the serial look-up pages I had found.

Mine is Y+7 digits, so meets the criteria you mentioned.

Did you purchase it new from a Rolex certified business?

Why are you worried about this 10 years post purchase? Welcome to the forum, and show us a pic.
