1943 Hamilton Railway Special
I attended a family reunion this past weekend and was given my great-grandfather's pocket watch. It's in very good condition in and out, but I will probably have it serviced soon (clean and oil the movement). Checking the accuracy over the next week or so.

Beautiful - Treasure and enjoy it!
If those photos inspire anyone to look for one, vintage American railroad grade pocket watches are the best buys in horology (Quality to Price Ratio) IMHO. |

992b, I think you will find it exceeds Chronometer specs.
The hair spring was good enough that George Daniels used it in his watches. I was told he was an admirer of (the old) Hamilton. |

What a beautiful way to remember him.
What’s the backstory with the watch? Does anyone in your family know? |
