Vintage Rolex in Paris. 2024.
I have had the great pleasure of visiting a great Rolex and other vintage watch dealer here in Paris.
L'Atelier Du Temps - located in the market area off 85 Rue Rosiers, in the Biron Markets Stand 97. You will know you are in the right market area as the road is lined with red carpet. Getting there is very easy using either Uber or Taxi. Guillaume Gualis the principle & founder is a very personable, knowledgable and energetic man. My French beyond basic pleasantries is poor to say the least. Guillaume was very accommodating and of course we spoke the international language of watches... His shop is like an Aladdin's cave of vintage dive watched and watches that are rarely seen (in Australia anyway). There dive paraphernalia from Comex and French Military diving. Tucked in the corner of his workshop is a Comex wetsuit, a Comex dive bag, the 1st, 1st stage scuba designed by Jacques Cousteau in the 1940's. A French MN Attack Board (I'm a ex Mil diver and those will know what this is) Vintage Rolex - There is an amazing selection of vintage Subs, some from Comex, but without the Comex dial as requested by the previous Comex owner. A early Daytona, GMT II Fat Lady, 5513's. Obviously the rare/rarer watches are priced accordingly. But I thought the GMT Fat Lady was priced reasonably against what I see in Australia. Safety in the market area - With many of the watches in in the €40-€100K price range, the shop is located in a safe area of the Markets, some times referred to the flea markets. There is nothing flea about this market area. Guillaume is also opening another outlet off the Champs at 21 rue Jean Mermoz 75008 Paris. Check out his instagram @ latelierdutemps.lespuces Also, I picked up the Gigandet chrono. A lot of vintage is too small for me. This at 41mm is as small as I go. It's a fun watch. There are obviously other dealers around, but I have limited time and this for me was a gem to find. Happy watch hunting... |

A very poorly polished watch, service dial and hands and no box or papers. I even find it expensive. |

There are several reputable vintage dealers in Paris.
Two others to check out are Romain Rea and Antoine de Macedo. A note to people visiting Biron is that all the stores there are only open on Saturdays and Sundays since it's part of the famous Marche aux Puces flea market. |
