VTNR Accuracy

After a brief break in period I have my VTNR at +0.3sec over the past 50 days. That’s total, not average

Is anyone else OCD enough to play this game? I figured out she runs around -0.3 SPD worn or stored crown up, and about +1spd stored crown down, so it’s a little game to regulate the watch by how I leave it at night.

All modern Rolex are COSC

Similar with my Sub Date. Overnight dial up = about +2. Crown up = -2. So based on the day I can regulate to 0/day.

I never have or will .. I simply don’t wear a watch for a long enough period to even check its accuracy, I suppose too I’m counting on Rolex doing what they say on the tin ..

Speaking for myself thank good my life was never ran to the exact second,been wearing Rolex watches for over 50 years. But must admit never been anal about checking to the exact second like many today. Travelled a lot mainly Asia, Africa and Europe and in all those years of wearing Rolex watches. Never missed any form of transport time schedule or any appointments because my watch was few seconds fast or slow. All my Rolex watches from the 12,15,30,31,even 32 series have run when I have bothered to check to COSC speck, that's accurate enough for me. To the OP your watch is showing fantastic accuracy wear it in good health for the next 30-40 years now thats far more important.

Good information. I pay attention to the accuracy but typically over longer periods of time. A week, 10 days, if I think about it. I have a lot of watches so I do not get a lot of wrist time with any one so a bit more difficult.

Nope.

If I want precision I wear a G-Shock or check my phone.

You should think of mechanical watches as only temporarily precise. They won’t hold that rate forever. They require regulation, maintenance, parts, environmental conditions, luck, etc. It’s not worth worrying about it as long as it’s operating within spec, and COSC specs are fairly lose.

I don't bother with rate results unless there's a noticeable change. A few seconds isn't going to concern me.

Tracking the timekeeping of your watch is not OCD. Losing your job because you are tracking the timekeeping of your watch, that’s OCD.

If I can't get my watch to zero out from different positions I take it to get regulated. If that doesn't work I sell it.

Half the fun of the hobby for me is admiring and appreciating the engineering marvel that it is, and s/d is a primary measurement of that for me.

I timed my VTNR for the first couple of month and it gained liked 2 seconds total. Very impressive!
