[Poll] 116500LN (Black) or 126500LN (Black)

To square the circle, we now focus on the Black Dial Stainless Steel Daytona.

You can only pick one, which do you take? Numbers don’t lie.

116500LN

126500LN

12xx for me, for the same reasons I prefer the 12xx white. I love the bezel surround and slimmer sub dials

Totally agree. These seemingly minor changes make for such a sophisticated differentiation.

Nothing wrong with an 11xx though…

Amazing man! And you chose real pictures and not renders well done!
While on the white dial I much prefer the 126500, on the black dial I like the 126500 equally vs the 116500.
I have voted 116500 for the jubilee option!
Here are a few pics.

Both are great watches but I think the newer reference edges it slightly. Subtle differences but change the watch aesthetics considerably in my view.

I can never tell on photo, but for the black dial, the subdial has more detail than the white dial in the old reference. Is it the same in the new reference? If it's exactly the same and it's just thinner, then I prefer the newer reference.

I've owned both. The black dial on the newer version definitely pops more. Perhaps it's the newer AR crystal or a difference in the way Rolex makes the black dial.

Either way, the newer black dial is more striking, plus you have the aesthetic changes and the fatter case. I'm indifferent about the metal surround on the bezel.

There was already AR on the prior model since introduction. The new 12 has chrome rings around the sundials, thus making it pop more

I voted for the new model, which in black version has definitely been improved. Unfortunately, the discontinued model was not as successful as the panda model. Between black and panda 12, I always prefer black.

Again the 12 because that is the only one I will be able to get at retail now from my AD. Differences are too small to my eyes to have a favorite.

Although I voted for the new one, the proportions and shape of the case of the discontinued model are better

The 11 series for me. Not enough difference to justify the price difference.

This. I had the chance to compare my 116500 side by side with a 126500 at the Wynn Boutique in Las Vegas. The changes are so subtle I don’t see a case for me waiting on another one.

I agree. The outer ring on the new bezels don’t seem to make a major difference in the watches overall appearance. I have the old model 116500 and I’m totally satisfied with it!

I much prefer the 126500LN, personally.

The thinner hour markers are more refined and hark back to the older Zenith reference, and the steel ring around the bezel frames the watch beautifully. I prefer the "maxi case" with symmetrical lugs too.
