Difference between the 5513/5514/5517
I've been looking for a 1977 production Sub for my brother's birthday present and found that the reference numbers 5513/5514/5517 all fall within the year 1977. What is the difference between the three?
Thanks in advance, Eric

Thanks Maverick - do you have a guesstimate of what I should be paying for a very good condition 5513 from 1977?
Eric

Please Don't Forget....
That on top of everything else....
A 1977 is known as the "MAXI DIAL I" (Maxi Dial #1) Something to think about in their collectability, and future value too. See and Enjoy info on the Rolex "5513 Maxi Dials", and their history here: http://doubleredseadweller.com/5513maxi.htm |

Thanks guys for all the valuable information. I still have yet to locate one from a trusted source. There are a few posted on eBay, but some look like Frankenwatches to me.
Do let me know if you come across anything. Cheers, Eric

I'm only looking for a circa 1977 which really limits my options
