Quick Change Retrofit from AP
Hi All - went to my local AP AD here in So. Cal and he mentioned that there is a retrofit kit they can apply that will give my AP ROO a band quick change system. He said it can be done in as little as few hours locally there at the AD.
I've searched online about this and see nothing. Is this something brand new? Has anyone here done it? Cost was near $2k just to convert it. The bands are then around $600/ea thereafter. |

$2K for 2 titanium plots and a clasp seems crazy!
I believe a member here had this done on a 44MM special edition a while back. |

Yes I had it done a few years ago. It was substantially more than 2k for the steel kit including deployment clasp and 1 strap, but I love it

I had my AP ROO done and changed the game for the watch. It’s now three watches in one, so much more to Love
, The only Drawback is the bracelet it is THICK!! in lines with the Brick The only thing I recommend is getting a second clasp if you choose more than one strap option it’s easy to change, but I still should’ve got a second clasp for The other strap They did it in Clearwater FL |

At bal harbor
They quoted me 200 per plot, so 800 for 4, but the buckle added $ to the deal

If I recall it was closer to $4k with deployant in steel when first released a few years ago, unsure if price has changed.

Found the old invoice...Cost was $3650 for the conversion plots, hardware, 1 strap and deployant buckle installed while I waited.

on the 42mm, the rubber straps + normal plots tend to flare out quite a bit.. does this make the strap taper any closer to the wrist?

No, it's the same angle on the plots and they do not move anymore freely than the old style plots.

The strap follows the curvature of the case. If they where to allow the plots to move more it would impact the whole design. So I wouldn't hold my breath unfortunately.

Crap forgot about this thread - thanks guys. Well at least I know it's a real thing now, had no idea. Odd that the price is all over the place. I wonder if I could buy the pieces myself to do it??
