Rolex 16520 opinions

Hello all, it’s my first post here and wanted some opinions on the 16520. It comes with the bracelet but taking some pics for feedback. Opinions would be very much appreciated.

Thanks.

Case is looking soft. If the price is right, modern technology can easily bring this back to life!

Any thoughts about the dial?

Nothing special about it. Not porcelain, not floating dial and not inverted 6. Pics aren't clear or bright enough to assess the condition of the lacquered finish. Otherwise looks fine.

Looks to be a mark between the coronet and the hour marker at 1300 hrs.

Case is an overpolished disaster. Those poor crown-side lugs. Big pass.

Yes, it’s a polished up case but I’m comfortable with it. What about the dial or anything to pick on? How can one tell if this is an original or service dial, etc.?

Thanks.

I don’t recall 16520 has black sub-dial rings?

What does the serial number start with?

It's more than "polished up." The case shape has been ruined, IMHO.

Nothing wrong with a polished case on an old watch, within reason and if it's done right. This, however, is not one of those examples.

Whoever edited the photos used the "sharpen" button too much, it looks like old photos whith all the contours drawn in. So in reality the case is probably even softer.

The tritium dial with straight 6 looks like an MK6, should be around serial W-T (1994/1996).

Case too polished to my liking but I'm happy that people would buy and enjoy models that are not pristine.
