Tom Brady Piece Unique on Auction

It’s been barely a year and he is putting the watch up for auction.

This is absolutely shambolic behaviour and really is a slap in the face for collectors that have held on to the cause

AP needs to rework their policy here to afford some flexibility on ownership timelines

It is hideous and an example of his bad taste. I would auction that off if I were him as well. Who would wear that piece of shit?

Curious if AP would replace the rotor and put normal indices on it for those of us that are not idiots?

Hopefully let you keep the bag of shit taken off the watch to include in a future auction if you wished.

Same question here. That's like me selling my Moonswatch collection (except those are not as ugly as the tourbillon piece unique). Easier to just leave them in the sock drawer.

He is in the process of buying sth like 10% of the Raiders for several hundred million. Raising a few million from his watches won't move the needle there though.

Ahhhh Ok yeah so he is doing a Sale called the GOAT sale of a bunch of his Stuff not only watches so yeah he could get a good 10-20Million easy in the auction if his watches can bring 6-8million

What's disheartening is the treatment of us real collectors who maybe moved some pieces that we also didn't like after some time and didn't flip, but because we aren't famous got into trouble with AP.

Then again - I'm not Tom Brady.

I don’t question the selling of watch collection….i mean we don’t know what he has left, maybe just getting rid of things he doesn’t wear, or getting new pieces, etc….
I question getting rid of the meaningful memorabilia….things he stated he “worked hard for (or in)”…..jerseys, helmet, etc….

He is selling other stuff as well, and some of his watch collection.
I doubt AP will blacklist him for that

Odd selection of stuff. No indication that it's for some charity, which would at least make some sense.

I do not like the watch but it is his property to do with as he likes. If AP will not sell him another, so be it.

It’s odd that he’s selling anything, especially the non-watch items. I could see him getting rid of certain watches privately, but the whole hyped-up auction idea seems just odd to me. Feels weird and I don’t know why.

After volunteering to get roasted with no up side, nothing surprises with this guy. Hopefully the AP well will dry up, but I doubt anyone will care within the org.

As he started publicly displaying his collection, he earned credibility amongst watch cognoscenti, but this immediately decimates it.

I definitely wouldn’t buy it no matter what kind of money I had. Ugly piece unique.

They could have at least designed in the VII to the 7 O’ Clock position on the dial!

Both Tom & AP strategically plan these “auctions”. It’s called “self-created hype” to keep brand hype and value up.

Finally someone hit the nail on the head.

In my opinion this is exactly right. AP are masters at ‘unofficial celebrity endorsements’. 9/10 they never pay for them… just have to wear them at public events etc.

I bet this goes under retail. Not a collector piece, more of a dedication piece. Kinda gimmicky too

AP cares not, any VVIP can do as they please. Why do you think top models end up in Geneva La Reserve alongside Aurele Bacs each year?

Maybe AP pissed him off the same way Panerai treated Stallone poorly?

Heaping dumpster fire.

Really liked Brady when we was playing but between his weird Bro YouTube channel content, these hideous pieces and general antics... Becoming less of a fan.

Should take a page out of the Matt Ryan classy cookbook on how to retire with dignity while still making a mint
