AP RO on rubber or leather strap

I picked up a 15500ST white dial recently and I’m waiting for it to come back from the AP service center. My AD mentioned I could get a conversion kit with deployment clasp for about $1600. I’ve been trying to search for pictures of the white dial with different color straps. Just wondering if you guys could share any pictures.

I think I would also prefer the tang buckle but i think my AD said that wasn’t an option.

Hey OP, I recently did the rubber strap conversion on my silver dial 15510st and it definitely changes the vibe of the watch. I have both the grey and red straps and think I prefer the red one. I also got the AP deployant clasp but like others have said about it, it doesn’t perfectly sit on the back of my wrist. I think the tang buckle is the way to go with this conversion. Here are some pics of the watch on both straps.

Looks surprisingly good on the red strap. Certainly a different vibe versus the bracelet.

Not white but here’s my black on black with AP deployment. I highly recommend the deployment over tang buckle, it’s just so much more secure and looks cool too!

Are plots from AP or the strap maker?

The plots, rubber straps and deployant clasp are all from AP.

Tang buckle is an option and way more comfortable imo. The part number is AD.0288.018.ST Buckle Ardillon 18mm 140 USD

Go with the tang buckle. Looks great on rubber. Order the correct plots and screws from AP. Do not go aftermarket

Is it easy to change between the bracelet and rubber and back?

There are no authorized sellers of the plots other than AP.

IMHO the Royal Oak looks "wrong" on leather or rubber, but this is obviously only a matter of personal taste and preference.

I really like how the grey rubber strap looks. I’ve only ever seen pictures of the white rubber strap on the white dial. Thanks for sharing!

I agree that the deployment clasp looks a lot cooler but I’d prefer something that’s more comfortable. I wonder if they would let me try it on with both before buying it.

It really is a shame we don't have RO quick disconnect plots.

The red strap is very impressive in combination with this dial! Grey always works, too…but the red was an unexpected surprise

My silver ROC on black.

Although I do have the deployment clasp and it does look nice, as others have mentioned it’s not exactly the most comfortable.

I thought so too until recently. Thinking of getting a rubber band for my ROC. Which color would look best for a green ROC? I was thinking black, but already have black and navy straps for my khaki diver which would look sort of similar

But if you want a rubber strap, can't you just get an offshore? Too big for too many people?

I came to the thread expecting to hate because the bracelet is such an important part but damn that looks good on the red rubber!

That looks great. Did you get the pin buckle from AP? I have the fold over clasp and find it very uncomfortable.

I think it looks great with the rubber strap and gives a different look especially if you have several stainless steel ROs. I wanted to get the rubber strap conversion kit for my 15510ST myself but was told by my AD in Asia that it was not available for purchase… do you know the code for the plots and deployant clasp maybe I can try give them those. Thank you

Good look on the larger RO.

I can’t imagine it would work as well on my classically sized 37mm grey version.

Appreciate you posting the grey on grey color combo, that’s what I was hoping to see.
