ID bracelet from a 1965 Day Date

Hi,

Quite a while ago I inherited a 1965 Day Date with all the original papers. The watch has been serviced and runs like a dream, but the bracelet needs repairing. However I have been unable to find any reference what kind of a bracelet it is. It looks very much like the other brick style bracelets that Rolex made in the 60s, but I haven't been able to find reference of this exact type. Can any of the experts here help me out and tell me if this type of a bracelet rings a bell to anyone?

I didn't look through it in detail, but there is a good thread here:

David, is this a factory (or Rolex-commissioned) brick bracelet? I haven’t seen this diagonal pattern before, and the bricks look more squarish.

I had a look a the link posted by Dan S, but couldn't find it there. Instead, somebody has sold a similar Day Date in the past: Google '1stdibs Rare Vintage Rolex Day-Date Florentine Finish Champagne Dial 1806 Automatic' (sorry, can't post a link since I haven't got enough posts yet :)

Mine is almost the same, except that the watch is a 1803.

I recommend contacting Adam from Menta Watches. He might be able to steer you in the right direction. https://mentawatches.com/contact/ or DM him on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/mentawatches/

Hi Clay. Travelling again, I have not been active on the forum sorry.
I have no documentation of this band. As you know Rolex did special orders in the day. Better pics of the clasp inside and side of the links would help identify originality.

So for the OP, nobody finds this exact bracelet (yet!) - Have you scrutinized it for hallmarks or other markings?

If possible, post the pics David asks for above, and pics of the backs of the bracelet and end links. It wouldn’t be the only instance of ‘presumed genuine, but only one known,’ especially among DD brick bracelets.

Plus, “known” really is limited to 1) posted or published, and 2) findable, which excludes a lot of fine examples.

And David, please don’t apologize for answering my endless questions, any ol’ time! I’m always eager to learn your thoughts.
