ALL Red GMT Hand on 1675 gilt dial.

ebay item ... 365144559304

This 1967 all red GMT hand with gilt dial came up on ebay. The all red hand GMT hand supposedly did not come on a gilt dial but this has papers. Does anyone have feedback if this could be legitimate. Supposedly from an estate of a military veteran.

Not correct, you’ll be needing a small GMT hand for a gilt era watch. It looks like all the hands have been replaced on this watch

The color of the 24h hand looks more greenish like the zinc sulfide ones do. Maybe the small one disturbes the previous owner and he changed it in the late 60s to a zinc sulfide one. A lume shot will bring light into the dark.

I "won" the watch and it will be going through ebay authentication. They are not necessarily experts though. The band is wrong but photos look like the watch itself was not overly changed other than the lathe ground caseback. The supposed all red hand almost looks like it belongs and the watch is dated toward the end of the gilt dial and beginning of the supposed all red gmt hand so I was wondering if it could possibly legit. I am hoping the lume was not redone so there is a chance the hands are original however I am sceptical but felt the watch itself may be OK.

eBay authentication doesn’t address parts changes on vintage watches. That’s not even what the authentication is intended for if you read about it.

It would only be speculation in trying to determine the authenticity of this hand to this watch.

Gilt = small arrow
Early matte = small arrow
After early matte = massively large arrow like this
