Which entry level white gold daytona?

If i can manage it, I really want to go looking for a WG daytona. Something in the sub 40k range. Trying to make up my mind on which one though.....I already have a black dial 126500 so thinking something different then that.

2nd hand watches I've seen online dont seem to be going form much of a discount over msrp.

Since you have the black dial then I would strongly suggest this one. It’s a beautiful combination and stunning in person. Another alternative would be the silver dialed oysterflex variant.

Online prices are not always representative of what pieces actually trade hands for based on recent personal experiences.

I've been trying to get out of a few full precious metal sports pieces (including daytonas). Dealers are offering 20-30% off msrp.

Just for reference I have a full white gold daytona with a blue dial (unworn and fully stickered) that hasn't had an offer above 32k.

The blue dial 116509 is a winner or the racing dial. So that you have some contrast.
Post some pics once you decide.

Cheers,

I assume you mean offer from a Grey?

Been debating primarily between the blue one and this version of 116509.....

For the white gold Daytona models, the best deals will be on the early 116509 variants. Some cool “racing” dial options are out there. I was able to find this one earlier this year. Couldn’t be happier with it!

One of these two, I owned the meteorite for a bit and enjoyed it.

Would hardly call any Rolex precious metal watches entry level, but they mostly have the same important bit in any watch the movement.

Given you already have a SS Daytona on a bracelet, I’d personally be looking for an oysterflex wg model.

My thoughts exactly.

You don’t often hear “entry level” and “white gold Daytona” in the same sentence.

WG Blue dial would be my choice. Under rated.

Also, agree with the sentiment that it’s definitely not an “entry level” watch. It’s full gold!

Which entry level white gold daytona?

I believe the OP meant "entry level" among WG variants.

In other words, not exotic dials that are too pricey.

For what it's worth, I agree with the folks who mentioned the 116509 concentric Arabic number racing dial. Very legible in the area one needs it the most since it's a bit of a busy chronograph dial.

I had one in TT trim and liked it a lot.

Can you share some of these dealer's names? I am looking for a yellow gold Sub.

I would never buy an entry level precious metal Rolex. I would be mortified at what my fellow shoppers at Marshals and Walmart would think of me

I purchased my 509 about five years ago. I went back and forth between the blue dial and he steel. I finally went with the steel and have never regretted the decision. I love its elegant simplicity, and plus it's pretty under the radar.

Daytona and entry level doesn't go well in one sentence but I am on the list for the RG Daytona dark dial on oyster flex. Sorry I am not a fan of white gold but I can appreciate its weight

In reference to pm daytonas where you have some that are twice as much as the 30 to 40k daytonas...yes a wg daytona can be described as entry level for that item. There are other pm or even wg daytonas that a 30k price tag makes look cheap. That is my point.
