Platinum I believe. SA said it’s the first combo of that watch he’s ever seen.

Interesting looking watch and clearly one that divides opinion on how it looks

Fantastic; I've been interested in a meteorite dial for my WG41. They're fairly rare. I thought the Meteorite was only available on WG but I see it's also available on Pt ones.

Just cannot understand todays terminology with watches like the label heavy hitter.

Well, I love it on the WG DayDate with the diamond baguettes, but do not like it on the Daytonas or the GMTs (any metal or any bezel). It seems to me that Rolex selects the "bolder" meteorite patterns for the GMT and the more "refined" patterns for the DayDate (if that make any sense).

Not liking the meteorite Pepsi GMT (sorry PADi), I didn't really expect to like the meteorite DayDate, but it really is spectacular in person & the WG both avoids the heft (both weight-wise & cost-wise) and the (IMHO) slightly harsher white-bluish hue of the platinum. (Though that could be b/c I'm so used to seeing platinum DDs & Daytonas paired with ice-bluish dials.)

I saw a WG one before and it was beautiful. Of course if I had bought it I'll probably be wishing it was 36mm. I think it was only offered in 40mm?

I have to admit it would be cool to have a meteorite dial but not sure how long the fascination would last. Kind of on the fence with this one. If I did get lucky enough to get a platinum watch, I think I would want the ice blue dial.
