Bargain Watch Of The Century.

And boasting wow, 5 ETA bottom range quartz movements, and a genuine plastic deployment strap, must be the bargain of the century I don't think.

I can't believe anybody (except perhaps ars#holes like David Beckham) would ever buy one of these.

I bet that there are only a couple of hundred quids worth of diamonds on it, and with the genuine ETA quartz movements costing say around tops, £50,thats around £5300 profit per copy.

What also is obscene is that they ask EXTRA for the optional bleeding leather strap.

What is even more obscene, is that if your typical penniless chav opts for the finance option, it costs an extra £1000 odd pounds. However, they would probably regard this as an investment for there future.

Wait a minute, Peter. They actually give you 4 colors of polyurethane straps. C'mon now. How much more generous can they be?

But admit it, there’s a stroke of genius in this all. To make a person part with $7000 for an item that has been produced for less than $700, tops. I whish I had a business like that. Anyone interested in a Hens watch? Ultra bling and 60 mm! And you get no less than 5 straps with it. And a polishing cloth. All this and more for US $10,000. A snip

It's nothing short of monstrous - but a bargain for the clinically unsophisticated.

If you look up "bling" in the dictionary you will see a picture of a Jacob&Co. watch. They pretty much market their pieces to people like Paris Hilton and Tara Reid. Folks who probably can't even read an anolog watch.

Plus they wouldn't know how to wind or even set one, if the time was off. So quartz makes sense for those people

Well Padi (Peter) has made a point here you know. I believe 95% of the punters buy a watch for completely different reasons as we do. All of my colleagues are clueless when it comes to the movement inside their watches. Only we have some kind of understanding. But I’m still not sure if this is a blessing or a curse.

This would be perfect for a deranged artist obsessed with yellow, geometric shapes and wearing a piece of absolute crap on their wrist... sorry I don't know any.
