This is the first item in the WTB rules:

"To be eligible to post in the WTB sub-forum, a current and active Pledge Membership is required".

You need to be a Pledge Member to post WTB or Sales threads. Only the original poster or TRF Admin can post to these threads.

If you want to respond to a wtb thread then you send a pm to that member or use their e mail if they have it listed. If the Board was open, it would quickly become a buy/sell nightmare or just another discussion board.
