Fewer Links these days?

I'm trying to organize things to make them easier for my kids to handle someday.

Today, I am inventorying and labeling every watch box.

I opened my first Rolex box, 116713 from 2011, and noticed there are two spare links in the box. The watch fits great.

Recent purchases result in no spare links with proper fit.

Was Rolex more generous with links in the past?

I noticed that Jubilee bracelets for 36 mm watches are longer than Oyster bracelets. Rolex is notorious for selling just enough links. I only removed one link from my Dj 36 on oyster and my OP 36, to get a great fit, with a bit of extra room. I don’t wear them tight. When I buy other brands, I need to remove 3 or 4 links.
