Yachtmaster 42 Titanium: I am on waiting list for 6 month
I am not sure it is because I am a scientist and engineer and always appreciate high tech metal such as titanium, I always wish Rolex would add a titanium watch so I can wear it the rest of my life as beater. Finally the Yachtmaster 42 Titanium is here. I visited my local AD and added to their list and started saving. Went to see my AD Pauly Khamou of Tepper in West Bloomfield, MI. He promise he would work on finding one for me. I am holding my breath, and waiting for a phone call next few weeks, hopefully not next few months. I always have some doubt about its size, I am a small guy and seems perfect with the DD 36 Pt on my wrist. I also own a Titanium Seiko with 41 mm dial and 11mm thickness, and wear it with comfort, I am wondering if the Yachtmaster 42 mm may be too big for me? Not sure. Wish me luck guys.

I’m sure you’ve heard these seem to be pretty much a unicorn so I wouldn’t advise any arbitrary time constraints for getting one. I did get to try one on, allegedly the only one my smaller market AD has received. It is very light for its size and in this case appears to be a true 42mm.

I've been curious on this one ever since it was released. I have never seen one at an AD yet. I know it's a hard one to get, but was hoping to at least run into an exhibition piece that I could try on. I don't even recall any incoming threads with this ref. Unicorn seems to be the accurate description for this piece!

Op, these are very rare, I’ve seen 3 of them at 3 different ADs, one AD told me that they have received only one since its release. The others I’ve seen were on display for a few weeks then gone. So they are being allocated clients , I’m sure that you have be a VIP client to get one, some here on TRF have had them allocated in the U.K.
Definitely they are hard to get reference but not impossible.. Cheers, |

Rolex asks 14.5k euro
Grey they are around 24-25k euro/usd so 10k ish more in whatever currency. Even if they are this rare, in this case I would pay the 10k extra and go grey. It seems worth it if you truly desire it, just for this watch. |

Phone call in the next few weeks seems unlikely. This is not an easy one to get

Only seen one in the flesh. My AD was wearing it (he actually bought it himself).
I have 6.75 in wrists and it wore about the same as my 124060. I was pleasantly surprised, I thought it would wear much bigger. |

I saw one last Christmas on vacation at an AD in Switzerland. I was somewhat underwhelmed |

Phone call in the next few weeks? While I say never say never, this would be a time I would be tempted to.
In the next few months...well, if that happens, you can count yourself as very fortunate. Along with picking up the new watch, I would go out and buy some lottery tickets and crypto as well. Good luck, |

Hope you get it soon! Like everybody else said, very hard to get reference from AD but who knows, maybe that’ll be your Christmas miracle

Called my AD about the YM Ti the day the 2023 teaser was shown 'if by chance they release a titanium YM, please put me down for one'. Never seen one in the flesh, and apparently my AD hasn't received one since its release.
Have a great relationship with my AD, and my wife and I regularly buy both watches and jewelry, but doubt I'll ever be strapping a Ti to my wrist - so much so I'm now considering other brands for future purchases - I really don't blame my AD, I understand the Rolex situation and it is what it is. Wish you good luck and hope you get that call. |

This is a stunning watch, the more you wear it the more you love it, my favourite Rolex. It is underwhelming and to many that's the attraction. The dial colour is grey to my eye one shade darker than the Tudor 925 dial but Rolex call it black!

The AD will not call you.
I have put my name "on the list" multiple times at my local AD over the last couple of years for various references from a SeaDweller to Root Beer GMT. I have purchased 5 Rolexes via reputable gray market dealers such as DavidSW and Nashville Watch during that time. If you really want the watch - go buy on the "Grey" - pay the market price. That is the only realistic way you will ever see it. There are a bunch on Chrono24 listed for +$25K. Personally, I think you should go find another watch - that's Patek/Lange money... |

I went in and got on my local AD's list for this watch the day it was announced. I have spend history and still nothing yet. Be ready to be patient.

A local AD has one in their exhibition case. It’s a cool watch. Nothing shiny on it. Looks very different from a Submariner. It wears in size similarly to the Explorer II. I really like it and have asked the AD for it. I don’t like being pushy. They have always been great to me, can’t be greedy. Hope you get one, but if you have doubt on size, try out the Exp II for comparison.

I hope ADs relay interest to their Rolex reps so Rolex HQ doesn’t think that there is no demand and make this a short run reference.
Just don’t get it. Tudor has (though lower grade) several Titanium watches and they are readily available at ADs. |

I think I tried the same one on in June, they have only received it and won't sell it until after the grand opening of their new store. |

Can't imagine getting one at retail without at least a 3 year wait, and more likely 5 year wait. |

I have only seen (and tried on) one. It was owned by the Rolex Boutique GM, and well deserved IMO.
OP - I would not advise holding breath. You will be lucky to see if 3-4 years, not weeks, depending on spend history and Rolex production numbers. |

The wait could be far longer than you're hoping for but good luck.
