Sharing my collection
The best parts of any forum are the pictures and stories, so I wanted to share my humble collection with everyone.
My first "nice" watch was the Breitling Superocean in these photos. It was a wedding gift from my parents 21 years ago this week. I love that watch and wore it nearly every day for 15 years. I haven't worn it in several years now, but because of its sentimental value, I will keep it forever. There were also a couple other Breitlings I ended up moving after I got into Rolex. Which brings me to the Sub. At the end of 2018 my father was retiring and my brother and I purchased the company from him. This was a significant milestone for me and I wanted to celebrate with my first Rolex. I always loved the Submariners and felt it was a classic Rolex and the perfect all around watch. I called the local AD and within two weeks I had my Sub. I didn't realize how quick that was at the time, but I am very appreciative now. That watch has been my go to for the last six years. My next Rolex was the Daytona. There's enough of a story with that watch for its own thread, but the short version is my father had a white gold Daytona 116519 with the blue Sodalite dial and diamond markers that he really didn't wear much. He ended up giving it to my brother and me, but it was tough sharing a watch. In 2022 I sent it out for a service and mentioned to the boutique that I was interested in trading it in when it returned. My request was two white Daytonas for the 116519. After some back and forth, they agreed. The craziest part was the SA handed me my Daytona on the spot and said he would have the second one within three weeks, and he was true to his word. The Moonwatch was the next piece I bought. I love the history of it and the feel of it. Just a great all around watch. And last, but not least, is the GMT. I put my name in for a BLRO shortly after acquiring the Daytona. After waiting nearly two years, my AD was honest and said it was unlikely to happen right now, but offered any other GMT I was interested in. I chose the GRNR. But, after receiving it, I felt like I was settling, so I worked out a deal with a gray for a new BLRO and could not be happier. I finally have my Rolex air, land and sea combo! I feel very fortunate to have these watches and love having the chance to share them with everyone. Thanks for reading / looking! |

Whats with the empty space?
What you have is very nice but that space needs to be sorted.

There’s nothing humble about that stellar collection OP. You sir have impeccable taste.
Congrats on securing such a diverse range of timepieces.

That's an amazing collection. Might I ask what piece would you add next?

I'm not sure. I love the LV Sub or the Hulk and the new Omega FOIS Moonwatch and Snoopy 50th anniversary, but all of those are pretty much the same, as pieces I already have. But, I think I'd lean towards a Hulk or Polar Explorer II if I was sticking with Rolex. A Daydate would be great, but it's out of my price range at the moment. I'm also intrigued by the Panerai Luminor Luna Rossa (PAM01408) for something a little different. |

Very nice collection! Is your brother as big an enthusiast as you, or does he daily his white Daytona?

There seems to be a few folks here who are really concerned about that empty spot. My AD has a full rose gold GMT sitting in the case and available to buy…. Maybe I’ll start a Go Fund Me, so we can get it filled asap! 😂

Great collection and a story.
Wildest part is AD trading in 2 Pandas for a WG Preowned piece. Never thought they would do something like that. |
