Nice, very interesting and unique looking.

Does the bezel rotate?

I don't think you'd need it on this watch... Looks perfect as it is. So, does the triangle at the bottom serve as the date indicator?

Do the the diver rubber straps fit this watch or are there different ones? I got a brand new uncut Rubber authentic Oris strap on one of the forums for $90. Love the watch, very unique.

congrats on graduating... and this is a nice watch.

I like Oris for its value and quality. My wife has one for many years, and I got a Flight Timer 2 years ago. However my FT is gaining time like nothing... 5 mins + per day. I noticed it some time back but couldn't send it in for servicing as the papers are not with me... it is now out of warranty. You may want to monitor your watch for a while... (although I think mine is a rare lemon....)

Why don't you check with your service center. I recall sending in my watch without papers as well and they still accepted it. I think the only time they won't accept it is if it's "hot" or if it's fake.

To the OP,

Great watch! I think it's awesome that Oris has such a broad product line. Not a lot of brands are willing to branch out and offer skeleton watches due to the additional work needed to get the movement nice and shiny - at the price they're offering them.

They will no longer service a watch for warranty work without papers.

Their service REALLY leaves something to be desired. My future Brother in law is going through HELL with them trying to get updates and get his watch fixed..... (yes he has papers, they even made his fax in a copy of his receipt!)

Look on the boards and you will find a nice rubber band from someone who decided to get metal or something else.

Its a nice watch and a GREAT gift, my only suggestion would be if there are ever any issues outside of the warranty period take it to a local watchmaker, you will get MUCH quicker service and I am sure you can find an amazing watch guy if you just ask around on the boards.

Wow, that sucks big time! Why are they being so picky? I had my Breguet serviced and I just walked in the service center with just the watch in my hand. The lady just looked it over and got my info and told me to wait for them to inform me by email if the watch can be picked up. The person I talked to was also very very accommodating to any and all questions I had.

I also had my Omega serviced with just my watch with no problems as well.

Who's the mother company of Oris? Maybe its not just Oris with the problem?

They are being picky as so many people are buying Gray market watches from overseas.
Many other companies are starting to do it now as well.
When I sent in my Panerai they wanted to copies of the papers (didn't care it wasn't in my name but that it was in warranty.)
If you have a watch no papers if it is in warranty or not odds are they will make you pay.... Rolex has not been so anal about this but more and more companies are due to gray market.
