Hi Seros. Your city's name brings back memories of a song I first heard a long time ago. The words & music were written by Bertolt Brecht & Kurt Weill in 1929 for their musical "Happy End". It was recorded by Andy Williams in 1961 with English lyrics by Johnny Mercer, and that is the version I know so well. It was not ABOUT Bilbao, Spain, but a bar in Chicago (the setting for "Happy End") in 1929, sung by the gangster character Bill Cracker.

Here it is, all cleaned up by Andy Williams - listen and enjoy: The Bilbao Song

Hi Seros,

You do live in a beautiful country with a lot of history. Bilbao looks like a fantastic place to visit.

Thanks for posting those links.

Cheers - JJ
