GO Navigator Series

Anyone have any thoughts on GO"s pilot watches? I'm getting a hankering for one and will take a trip to the AD this weekend. It's got it's manufacture movement (which I like), but it's sized at a very manly 44mm (which I'm not too sure about).
I'm tall and broad, so it wouldn't look out of place, but it seems soooo large.
Finally, what kind of discount is normal to pursue with a GO?

Photo shamelessly lifted from TZ.

TIA.

They are very nice but far too big for me. I do like pilot watches without the date, so these are quite "proper" in their styling in my view.

Discount is hard to say as it really depends on the dealer. I was able to get a good deal on my PanoReserve, but it took a fair bit of haggling (I started the negoatiations and my wife actually delivered the final price with some phone calls - the dealer suggested I get her to negotiate all our big purchases LOL!). I would expect a 20% discount and more if you work at it.

I will be hitting the dealer this weekend so I'll see if they have any - maybe take some real life pics for you.

Hi Al,
I've seen 44mm pilot's watches on shorter men, and they didn't look out of place, but I'll have to do an actual try on myself.
Gee, as far as discounts I figured it would be a no brainer for 25% off, it's just that I want more. The problem may be that SS doesn't have the margin to discount, while gold and Pt. watches offer a lot of wiggle room with the price.
If you see sparkly pics by Monday, you'll know if I've caved in to the watch curse, again!

Yup - I've always considerd a 20% discount on stainless to be a decent deal (depending on the brand of course). I expect you will get better discounts on precious metals. Of course this is a generalization, which there are always exceptions to.
